Oppo F9 Pro with VOOC Flash Charging, Waterdrop Screen Teased to Launch Soon In India

After bringing out the flagship Find Xsmartphone to India, Oppo is now gearing up for another launch in the country. Today, the company took to Twitter to post a teaser for an upcoming phone, which is the Oppo F9 Pro. With the teaser, Oppo has made it quite clear that it will be launching the phone in India soon.

Oppo F9 Pro: Teased For India Launch

Oppo posted the teaser for the F9 Pro on its official Twitter handline with a caption, “The breaking new vision,” suggesting that the upcoming phone will sport an immersive display, wherein the notch looks precisely like the one seen on Andy Rubin’s Essential Phone, i.e. a little rounded at the bottom and small like a water drop. While the teaser is all about the F9 Pro, there is no information on the standard F9. Notably, the company has teased the F9 on its Twitter Malaysiaaccount on July 29, 2018.Oppo F9 Pro: A Notch Like Essential Phone While Oppo Calls is ‘Waterdrop’ Screen
While Oppo is calling it the ‘Waterdrop’ screen, we know how it reminds us of the Essential Phone PH-1. This notch is not at all like the notch design we are used to seeing on iPhone X or other recently launched Android smartphones with notched displays. If Oppo has followed the Essential Phone design completely, we can expect the notch to house a single selfie camera.

According to the listing of the leaked screenshots of the Oppo F9 Pro on the Bluetooth SIG certification site, there are three different model numbers CPH1823, CPH1825, and CPH1881, wherein the CPH1823 model seems to be the Oppo F9 Pro while the CPH1825 and CPH1881 are for the Oppo F9. All the four models have 4G LTE support and the same Bluetooth module as on the Oppo Realme 1, Oppo F7, Oppo F7 Youth, and other recently launched Oppo phones.

Moreover, all the three models spotted in the leak are expected to come powered by a MediaTek Helio P60 processor. We can also expect both the models to come integrated with Oppo’s in-house Super VOOC Flash Charging technology, which is claimed to offer 2 hours of talktime in just 5 minutes of charge. It is also claimed to fully charge the device to full in just 15 minutes.
